The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli has hit hard afresh, saying those embezzling money meant for the development of their communities “are heaping curses on themselves and their generation”.

The Eminent Monarch who handed down the warning Thursday August 4 when he received the newly inaugurated 12-member Ureju Community Executive Committee in Warri North Local Government Area led by the Chairman, Mr. Henry Eniyan Tonwe, noted that attempts by a few people to elongate their tenure in community leadership positions is a major problem in Itsekiri Nation.

While commending Ureju Community for the peaceful and successful election of a new leadership, The Olu of Warri commended the new Ureju Chairman and members of his executive for promising to relinquish power at the expiration of their tenure.
