The construction of the Abavo General Hospital in Ika South Local Government Area, seems to be moving at a very fast pace, as the project is expected to be delivered very soon, Fresh Angle International has learnt.

According to the representative of the contracting firm handling the project, Servik Int'l Services Ltd, who also doubles as the project site engineer, Engr. Timothy Bernard, the job is expected to be completed in a few months’ times.

He disclosed that the buildings and other structures have been completed, except the internal and access roads, which are currently receiving serious attention.

"During the visit of the state governor to the project site, it was observed that the access road leading to the hospital was un-motorable, which prompted the governor to instruct the Ministry of Works to ensure that the road is made motor-able and tarred so that members of the community could easily access the facility when completed and put into use," he explained.

Engr. Bernard commended Abavo community for their cooperation since commencement of work at the site, saying that the people have shown understanding and friendly disposition, which has helped in the speedy execution of the project.

Some members of the community, who pleaded anonymity, expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work at the site, adding that the hospital, which the governor brough to their community, when completed will save them the stress of having to travel to Agbor to access health care.
