Feelers just reaching Fresh Angle International say there was sporadic gunshots in the Igbudu area of Warri, Delta State following the assassination of Labour Party Candidate for Warri South Constituency 2 in the April 11, 2015 polls, Mr. Bright Akpobome Obodo.
Though details of the killing was still sketchy as at the time of this report, but Fresh Angle International gathered that the Labour Party candidate, identified as Mr. Bright Akpobome Obodo was reportedly killed at his Orhuworhun residence in Udu Local Government Area, Delta State in the early hours of today, Sunday November 8 by unknown gunmen.
Following his murder, youths of Igbudu Community in Warri where Obodo hails from started shooting in protest until security forces mobilized to quell escalation of violence.
Chairman of Warri South Local Government, Hon. Matthew Mofe Edema who spoke to Our Correspondent on phone, said the matter has been brought under control and normal activities were now going on at Igbudu Community.
Fresh Angle International learned that the Labour Party Candidate has been in Tribunal, contesting the election of the incumbent member representing Warri South Constituency 2 in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Dennis Omovie.
