Voice before he was treated at Central Hospital, Warri, Delta State

A Mobil Filling Station Manager, Voice Ajom at 171 Warri Sapele Road Garage, Delta State yesterday November 3, 2015 escaped death when an area boy popularly known as Pally with tribal marks on both cheek stabbed him in his neck and shoulder because he switched off the Petrol sales pump.

Voice Ajom who hails from Cross Rivers State have been working in the Filling Station for about a year, spoke exclusively with Fresh Angle International on what transpired between him and Pally.

He recounted that the incident that led to his near death experience occurred at about 4:00pm, when Pally who he guessed to be about 25 years, fair in complexion and about 5ft6inches, came to purchase fuel for someone in a gallon. He met a queue in the station but decided to jump the queue so that the pump attendant would sell fuel for him.

A small boy of about 14 years challenged him, telling him that he was not on the queue and that it was his own turn to buy fuel. Pally slapped the boy twice, for confronting him and rushed out in search of a wood to use to harm the boy.

The Manager, Voice Ajom on seeing what Pally has done to the boy decided to switch off the pump from the control switch inside the office.

Immediately, Pally confronted him with a slap, asking him what right he had to switch off the sales pump and slapped him a second time while dragging him outside the office.

Voice added that as soon as they both got outside he was dazed from the slap and he didn’t notice that Pally went to search for a wood which he smashed on his head and he picked a bottle, broke it and used to stab him on the neck close to his artery and on his shoulder. As blood was gushing out of his neck and shoulder, the area boy ran away.

Voice disclosed that in that state with the blood still pumping out of his neck, he immediately went to report the incident at the Soldier Checking Point at Alele junction opposite Catholic Church, Warri Sapele Road and they went with him to Mobil Filling Station and started a search for Pally but are yet to apprehend him.

Our Correspondent report that the Manager, Voice Ajom was taken to Central Hospital Warri, Delta State where he received treatment at the Accident and Emergency Ward.
