Feelers from Asaba,Delta State capital say former Delta State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Mr. Omamofe Pirah, former Finance Commissioner and gubernatorial aspirant, Mr. David Edevbie, one time Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area, Mr. Asupa Forteta and five other persons have been nominated as commissioner designate by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as second batch of commissioners and their names forwarded to the Delta State House of Assembly for ratification.
It was not clear as at the time of this report while only eight names instead of twelve expected was sent to the State Assembly, but the nomination of Mr. Omamofe Pirah may not be a surprise following the backing of his Itsekiri political associates and High Chief Government Ekpemupolo otherwise known as Tompolo.
