Former Director – General of NIMASA and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Barr. Temisan Omatseye, a one-time branch President of National Association of Itsekiri Students, NAIS and Itsekiri rights’ advocate, Young Piero have re-stated the oneness of Itsekiri ethnic Nationality, insisting, “we are united, we are one people and Warri is known for development”.
They made the assertion weekend in Warri when they led some members of NAIS and supporters of Barr. Temisan Omatseye to pay homage to the Olu of Warri as part of the Monarch’s 28th coronation anniversary celebration.
Barr. Temisan Omatseye while wishing the Olu a peaceful reign on the throne, prayed God to add more prosperous years on the throne to the revered king.
The Itsekiri rights’ advocate, Young Piero summed up his thoughts this way, “we are one in Niger Delta, we are one in Delta State, because we have decided to rebrand and bring about life telling stories to the world with the light of the spirit of true comradeship”.

Our Correspondent reports that the three-day 28th coronation anniversary of the Olu of Warri which commenced May 1 with praise and worship was rounded off Sunday May 3 with a thanksgiving service at Four Square Gospel Church, Aghofen, Olu Palace, Warri.
Various groups and prominent Itsekiri sons as well as daughters paid the customary homage to the Warri monarch.
