Report just reaching your soar-away International tabloid, says two gunmen at about 8:40pm yesterday robbed three families living in a 12-flat estate at 6 Otuagona Street off Iwhrekpokpor Road, Ughelli in Delta State, carting away children school fees of one of their victims, ‘meeting’ and market monies of another as well as phones and other personal effects.
A female victim who lives at one of the affected flats told Our Correspondent that she was hit on her mouth by the robbers who threatened that if she refuses to comply, they “would mess her up and kill her teenage daughter”.
It was gathered that the hoodlums who accessed the homes of their victims because the victims’ personal security gates were not locked during the operations, locked each family in their toilets and bedrooms after successfully carrying out their operation and proceeded to the next flat in a quiet and smooth operation that lasted less than 30 minutes.
Occupants of the remaining 9 flats in the estate did not know of the operation until the two gunmen left the premises with their loot, while the neighbouring vigilante only dashed to the mini estate after the robbers had gone.
