Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has debunked insinuations that his wife, Mrs. Roli Uduaghan and he don’t have any problem, whether health challenges or otherwise as being rumoured.

Dr. Uduaghan explained that he and his family only went on vacation December last year outside the country after four years of intense work.

He promised to do a comprehensive press briefing next week to address journalists about President Goodluck Jonathan’s visit to Delta State.

The governor gave the explanation during a breakfast meeting he had with newsmen at his private residence in Warri, Delta State today.

When asked what his administration is doing to clean up Warri and its environs after perceived illegal structures were demolished last year, the governor said he has no regret for the demolition of all illegal structures, stating that the streets in Warri are now cleaner.

On waste management, Dr. Uduaghan assured that the state government has ordered the procurement of big dust bins for people living in Delta State to dispose their waste properly.

On the BRT project in Effurun, Dr. Uduaghan explained that the project was halted as a result of financial challenges, adding that the other challenge encountered is that of the outer lane expansion to enable commuters drive through it freely, stressing that work on the project will recommence next week.

On the Export Processing Zone cum Delta Gas City in Ugborodo, Warri South-West Local Government Area, the governor stated that the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the project ought to have been done last year, but was postponed because of security threat.

According to him, the President got intelligence report that if he did the Ground Breaking before now, there would have been ethnic/communal crisis.
