Exclusive: How 10-year old girl strangled younger sister to death in Delta

Tragedy struck recently at one Chief J.O. Okperin Street in Agbarho, Delta State, when a 10-year old girl identified simply as Favour, strangled and killed her younger sister of four years, Oghenerobororhe , who was one of a twin and the last of seven children of a certain Sam Oshimili, Fresh Angle International can authoritatively report.

According to an eye witness who does not want her name in print, the gory incident happened on Sunday January 25, 2015 at the residence of a family of 7 at Chief J.O. Okperin Street in Agbarho. The mother of the children was in the living room with some visitors and her pastor discussing, when Favour sent her younger sister, one of the twin to whisper a message in the mother’s ear.

According to the eye witness, the mother immediately stood up and went straight to the room and started removing clothes from a rubber bath that they use for washing clothes, only for her to see the lifeless body of the four years old Oghenerobororhe.

On what led to the death of Oghenerobororhe, the bereaved mother explained to sympathizers that it was the late Oghenerobororhe’s twin sister (name not known as at press time) that whispered to her that the elder sister, Favour directed her to tell their mother, Mrs. Oshimili to go and check inside the rubber bath, where the corpse of Oghenerobororhe was found.

Mrs. Oshimili’s Pastor took Favour aside with much persuasion, to tell him how she knew Oghenerobororhe was in the bath and who killed her. Favour confessed to killing the sister, that a voice commanded her to strangle her sister to death.

According to Favour, after strangling Oghenerobororhe to death, she placed her inside the rubber bath and covered her with clothes.

Investigation reveals that neighbours in the street are not happy with Mrs. Oshimili, because the family refused to report the case to the police.
