As the nation’s revenue continue to dwindle following the fall in crude oil price at the International Market, the Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Area, Hon. Oluwole Karetimi has promised that he will restructure the popular Bomadi- Over-side Market to boost the Internally Generated Revenue, IGR of the council.
Karetimi who made the promise in Bomadi during an inspection of council facilities at the market, said he will restructure the current state of the Bomadi Over-side Market to meet the socio-economic needs of the people so as to stimulate commercial activities in the area.
While expressing worries at the indiscriminate erection of wooden shops springing up at the market premises, the council boss maintained that when completed, business activities in the area will step up and it will boost internally generated revenue profile of Bomadi Local Government Council, thus augmenting the dwindling monthly federal allocation to enable his administration execute capital projects in the locality.

Karetemi ordered the immediate removal of illegal structures within the premises, noting that such structures do not only constitute nuisance but a potential source of fire outbreak and threat to the edifice.
