As the 2015 February elections draw nearer, Delta State Labour Party governorship flag bearer, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru has sought the blessing of the respected Itsekiri Leaders of Thought, ILOT, promising to “give what belongs to Caesar to Caesar if elected”.

Chief Ogboru told the Itsekiri leaders yesterday in Warri that his campaign will be based on value, saying he might not have the opportunity to vie for Delta State plum job again.

In his remark, an elder statesman and former member of defunct Bendel State House of Assembly, Pa. Isaac Jamide, stated that the Itsekiris believe in giving everybody what belongs to them, adding that no matter how long one lives in a place, he or she remains a stranger and not an indigene.

Pa. Jemide advised Chief Ogboru to run all-inclusive government if elected, so that he will be remembered for good legacies after leaving office.

The Chairman of Itsekiri Leaders of Thought, Pa. J.O.S. Ayomike prayed for Chief Ogboru to succeed in his aspiration and enjoined him not to be tired, saying that “if you want something you persist”.

Pa. Ayomike encouraged the Labour Party governorship candidate to make sure he carries everybody along with fairness and equity if elected governor of Delta State come February 2015.

Those that accompanied Chief Great Ogboru to the Consultative meeting included Labour Party Senatorial candidate for Delta South, Oniyetsoritse Elijah Wilkie, his supporters as well as other Labour Party candidates for House of Representatives and House of Assembly.
