The All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential candidate in the February 14, 2015 poll, General Muhammedu Buhari (Rtd) says Nigerians are tired of the present administration “that lacks credible members handling different offices as ministers down to state levels”.

General Buhari stated this yesterday when he led the APC campaign team on a visit to the Olu of Warri at his Palace in Warri, Delta State immediately after they addressed a mammoth crowd at the Warri City Stadium.

The APC presidential hopeful while noting that the party decided to challenge the ruling PDP “to bring a change to all Nigerians,” stated that during his reign as military head of state between 1983 and 1985, he established the Petroleum Technology Development Fund, PTDF, constructed the Enugu-Abuja road, Enugu Portharcourt road linking Delta State as well as the four refineries in Portharcourt, Kaduna and Warri.

He promised that if elected president, he will eradicate corruption, create employment, revitalize ailing industries, tackle the decaying infrastructures, make the economy more viable, improve the electricity and security situation in the country.

The National Chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie Oyegun in a remark stated that the Olu of Warri’s prayer brings blessing and described Warri as a great place where he was born and brought up.

He stated that Buhari’s administrations will ursher in peace across the country and Warri Kingdom in particular.

Some prominent Itsekiri indigenes, including Dr. Alex Tosan Ideh who bare their minds observed that with Buhari and Oyegun, Itsekiris of Delta State will find peace.

Our Senior Correspondent who was at the Olu’s Palace reports that the Director General of APC Presidential Campaign Organization and Governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Amaechi, Edo State governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, Delta State APC gubernatorial candidate, Olorugun O’tega Emerhor, Senator Francis Okpozo, former governor  of Ekiti State, Segun Oni, APC Chieftain, Barr. Prominent Chiefs from Warri Kingdom such as Chief Ayirimi Emami, Chief Olley, Chief Emmanuel Jones, Chief C.D. Ikomi and Chief Oritsejafor were among those who were with the Warri Monarch when the APC team visited.

In a related development, General Muhammadu Buhari also told a large crowd of APC faithful at the Warri City Stadium that he will tackle insecurity in Nigeria if given the mandate in the forth coming February 14 presidential election.

Buhari made the promise during the APC presidential campaign visit at Warri City Stadium in Delta State.

The former military Head of State whose past administration instilled discipline on Nigerians, decried the low standard of education, decay of infrastructure and the insecurity in the country, just as he promised rapid development and change in the country if elected into power.

In the same vein, the Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomole has charged Deltans to stand firm as soldiers of change in the country. The APC Governor stated this while addressing the APC supporters at the Warri City Statdium. He averred that Edo State people have embraced change and urged Deltans to do same.

The mammoth crowd of supporters, who patiently awaited the arrival of the APC presidential candidate for several hours while he visited Calabar and Rivers State, were not deterred until after General Buhari addressed them and left for the Olu of Warri’s Palace.
