The Youth Federation For World Peace, YFWP, an NGO with the United Nations says it awarded a Councilor in Warri South-West Local Government, Hon. A representative of Youth Federation for World Peace, Mr. Mike Opiah who made the disclosure in an exclusive chat with Fresh Angle International shortly after presenting the award to Hon. Davies Omatsone at Ugbegungun Secretariat in Warri, stated that the criteria for selecting their awardees is based on opinion polls conducted in communities where they organize peace seminars and workshops.

An indigene of Ugbegungun Community who spoke on behalf of the community, Comrade Emiko Odin-Etuwewe in his response, noted the role Omatsone played in ensuring that Ugbegungun got autonomy from Ugborodo.

According to him, when Hon. Omatsone was Secretary of Ugbegungun Community, he employed peaceful approach in managing the youths, rather than using violence in addressing issues of the community interests.
