Declining Crude Oil Price: it’s time for sacrifice, Edema tells Warri South Council Staff
Hon. Mofe Matthew Edema

Following the down-wide slide in the price of crude oil at the International Market which has resulted in drop in the monthly Federal allocation, the Chairman of Warri South Local Government, Hon. Mofe Matthew Edema has called on staff of Warri South Council and other stakeholders to brace up for the challenges ahead, stressing that it is time to make sacrifice.

The Warri South Chairman, who made the call during a meeting with staff of the Council at the Sub Secretariat of Warri South Council, declared that his administration has devised means to manage the poor allocation so as to be able to pay staff salaries and carry out statutory development programmes.

Hon. Edema also enjoined Staffers of Warri South Council to take advantage of the World Aids Day to check their blood pressure, malaria and HIV status, even as he insisted that his administration will be more transparent in its day to day pursuit of people oriented programmes.

The Warri South Council Community Mobilization Officer, HIV/AIDS, Mrs. Beatrice Onwo admonished staff of Warri South Council to regularly check their blood pressure.

Meanwhile, four new Supervisors were today sworn-in by the Warri South Council Boss, Hon. Mofe Matthew Edema, with a charge on them to gear-up for the task ahead and ensure good working relationship with the Council Heads of Department.
