Governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has said that the outcome of the governorship primary election would further strengthen the party in the State.
Okowa, made the assertion on Monday, 15th December, 2014 in Asaba, during the inauguration of the party's 2015 Campaign Council at the Government House. He described the PDP governorship primaries in Delta State as the best in the country and thanked God, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and the PDP family for the peaceful conduct of the primaries, adding that the state was a shining example in the country.
While thanking all those who contested with him for their level of cooperation, the PDP governorship candidate said his emergence was by the grace of God, and expressed confidence that God will also deliver him and the PDP in the February general elections.
He appealed to those he might have offended prior to the primary election to forgive him and unite with him and other members of the PDP to move the party forward.
Insisting that they have great task ahead, Okowa expressed hope that the party will surmount all the challenges ahead and produce the best result for the presidential election in 2015.
Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, on his part, said that Okowa was now the property of party, having won the primary election, adding that the PDP in the State has been able to put its house together after the election, as nobody has moved out of the party as a result of the primary election.
