Mr. Francis Maku Eyitouyo is a divinely ordained leader from his mother’s womb. He was possessed with innate aptitude, pre-requisite skills and ethic of leadership that he has been able to prove in an institutional setting, state and geo-political zone he found himself as a political animal. He is a leader that has ability to obtain follower irrespective of tribe, religions and rank, he achieved this through his leadership traits like, intelligence, social maturity, inner motivation and human relations attitude.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP faithful have deemed it fit to have elected Mr. Francis Maku, (Chairmanship primary elections held in Warri North on August 7th, 2014) because of his ability to influence followers in his constituency for the forth coming general elections in 2015.
He was able to prove his capability in his constituency when he mobilized followers for PDP to win the Governorship and Presidential seats for Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan and Mr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan respectively in 2011general elections.
Mr. Maku had the theoretical and empirical knowledge and understanding of the people whom he is about to govern. In other words, he was the sociological, psychological and ecological knowledge of his people and their environment, where the majority of the inhabitance of the LGA leaves. He is a man who had spent his better time with the poor and appreciates the magnitude of their pains and their problems.
Before now, he had put machinery in place to gear towards improving the living standard of the people of the area to curb incessant cases of uprising and insurgent attitude of the youth. Furthermore, he advocated economic state of emergency to be declare in all Wards of the Local Government Area, (if elected into office come October 13th, 2014) to vigorously pursue the much needed improved standard of living of the citizens.
The PDP chairmanship flag-bearer in Warri North identifies two factors that led to youth restiveness in the area, illiteracy and poverty. He promised to eradicate these vises through educative programs and jobs creation, especially in the agricultural sector. He opined equal opportunities of employment, education, government appointments and so on.
Francis Maku has never regarded himself as tin-god to people, since he has been holding community leadership and also in various governmental organizations in Delta State. He belief that the electorates rules and the ruler must be accountable in transparency to the people.
That is why he believes in the freedom of the Press or the Right to Freedom of Expression at the press as encapsulated in Session 39 of 1999 Constitution as amended in 2011. Francis Maku, sees the agents of the press which includes: websites, Internet, Newspapers, Bill boards, Magazines etc as means of disseminating information to the grass-root people as accountability and transparency council boss to be. He says, the term ‘News’ is defined as what the Editor says it is. He advised the Press to resist any form of transmutation, stereotype and pure transcription of reality in the forth coming general elections in 2015.
Hon. Francis Maku started strong with Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan the Governor of Delta State, and he is finishing stronger with the state governor three points agenda. He is a man who belief in His Excellency Ideology as a detribalize Delta in his quest to harmonize the unit.
Mr. Maku Eyitouyo is a law abiding citizen of Nigeria. He affirm his belief in the unity of Nigeria, he continuously promote political tolerance, accommodation, religious harmony, as well as inter-ethnic and intra-ethnic accommodation and co-operation of his people. He is a proponent and activist of fundamental human rights, as enshrined in the Nigeria constitution and international protocols and conventions.
In a nutshell, Maku uphold the manifesto of his party, PDP. He belief in the principle of democracy, the form of government in which the Demo (the people) rule. He does not belief in do-or-die politics.
