A supervisor at the Federal Government Girls College, Ugbowo in Benin City, Edo State has allegedly bitten -off the nipples of a female student in the institution, Our Benin City Correspondent reports.
Eye witnesses said trouble started in the institution’s hostel when the student identified as Crystabel Asenime simultaneously had bath with other students in the school bathing room, a development that is contrary to the institution’s rules and regulation.
Irked by the development, the female supervisor whose name was yet to be made available as at press time reportedly descended on the students (including Crystabel) with a cane.
It was further gathered that in the course of the flogging the seemingly resistant students, the supervisor reportedly bit-off Crystabel Asenime’s nipples.
Crystabel Asenime is said to be receiving treatment at the emergency ward of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH in Benin City.
Some of the students who spoke to Our Benin City Correspondent described the incident as strange and barbaric.
The victim’s father, Mr. Lawrence Asenime said the school authority is toying with his daughter’s life and called for full scale investigation into the incident.
