Just like the manner the Delta State government embarked on massive cleaning of Warri and fixing of roads in the City prior to the visit of President Goodluck Jonathan November 10, 2013 to Word of Life Bible Church in Warri, Fresh Angle has learnt that the sudden decision by the Delta State Government to embark on a 10-day clean up of Warri, Effurun and Udu via a Special Environmental Sanitation Committee headed by the State Deputy Governor Prof. Amos Agbe Utuama is not unconnected with the planned visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to the state.

It was reliably gathered that the President is billed to flag off the EPZ Project at Ugborodo in Warri South-West Local Government, which has polarized the Itsekiri nation into two (i.e. Hon. David Tonwe leadership and Chief Thomas Ereyitomi faction).

Fresh Anglealso scooped that apart from the EPZ flag off, President Goodluck Jonathan is also expected to formally lay the foundation stone for the construction of Nigeria Maritime University, Kurutie in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government.

The Delta State government in a bid to mop up the cities of Warri, Effurun and Udu in preparation for the President’s visit has detailed Transition Committee Chairmen of the three councils to mobilize their environment department to compliment the state government face saving mission which has seen its officials embarking on demolition of perceived illegal structures in the three local governments.
